On behalf of the Conference Organising Committee, we are thrilled to announce the inaugural AirPop Australasia Conference 2017, to be held at Crown Promenade, Melbourne, Australia from the 1st – 3rd November 2017.

We invite you to join the AirPop Australasia Conference which offers the opportunity to engage, connect, and share ideas around the challenges facing the expanded polystyrene industry and discuss how we together can continue to develop and enhance this important and ever evolving field.

Please note that AirPop Australasia will include the AMEPS meeting which is part of a broad program of meetings, speaker sessions and social activities.


In addition to the Welcome Function and Conference Dinner  there are a selection of optional social activities.

You can express your interest in the optional social activities below OR book to participate when registering for the conference.

Optional activities are subject to minimum participants and will also be at additional cost to your conference registration.

Conference sessions will conclude at morning tea on Friday.  If there is sufficient interest, transfers will be made to Kew GOLF Course for an afternoon game (1pm shotgun start).

Your guide (not caddy!) for the afternoon will be Nigel Ash from Expanz International.

Golf will be followed by the AirPop 2017 Gala Dinner on Friday evening at the River Room, Crown Promenade.

On Saturday 4 November you will have the option to attend an afternoon at the RACES in country Victoria
pre-ceded by a morning at
Healesville Wildlife Sanctuary

Graham Attwood and Bruce Pickett will be your tipping authorities and hosts
for the day!

We suggest you apply for your VISA as soon as possible, if your VISA is not granted within 60 days of the conference, the standard registration cancellation policy will apply, which is as follows:

“Registrations cancelled up to 60 days prior to the Conference will be eligible for a full refund where payment was made online by credit card. In all other cases a $150 cancellation fee will be charged. All cancellations must be advised via email to Conference Design.  Cancellations notified after this date will not be eligible for any refund, however another person may attend the Conference as a substitute.”

About AirPop 2017

AirPop 2017 is hosted by Expanded Polystyrene Australia (EPSA), Airpop - Engineered Air, and Asian Manufacturers of Expanded Polystyrene (AMEPS).

The conference is expected to draw attendance from across the Asia Pacific region including representation from the Block, Packaging, Pod, Raw Materials and Recycling sector groups.
